Study results show that more than 53% of the US population has excess belly fat.

Belly fat can be very hard to budge. And it’s not the only area that might be giving you grief, no matter how much you exercise and how healthy you eat. The lower back, thighs, arms, and derriere can also be challenging places to slim down.

If you’re looking to target hard-to-lose fat, CoolSculpting treatments are a great choice.

Have you started investigating CoolSculpting options and are wondering what the difference is between CoolSculpting Elite vs CoolSculpting Legacy? What do these terms mean, and which is the best treatment for me?

Keep reading to find out everything you need to know about the two types of CoolSculpting.

CoolSculpting Legacy: The Original Technology

CoolSculpting is a body contouring treatment that uses cryotherapy to freeze and eliminate fat cells. It is non-invasive and does not damage surrounding tissue.

The first edition, CoolSculpting Legacy, came on the market in 2010. It was a revolutionary treatment, that allowed patients a safe, non-surgical way to reduce stubborn fat long-term with zero downtime.

More than 10 years later, CoolSculpting remains one of the most popular non-surgical body contouring devices. It is FDA-approved, has been studied extensively, and is cleared for use in more than 80 countries.

CoolSculpting Elite Is the Updated Version

In 2021, CoolSculpting Elite was released. It is the updated version of the two types of CoolScuplting and features a variety of upgrades.

CoolSculpting Legacy yields an average reduction in fat of 18-20% per treatment. CoolSculpting Elite removes roughly 20-25% of fat in a single treatment.

Keep in mind that individual results and patient experiences can vary. But, this gives you a good idea of the improved treatment outcomes that CoolSculpting Elite can offer.

One of the reasons behind these enhanced results is the new applicators. Elite applicators cover up to 18% more skin area. This means that larger areas can be treated in a single session.

CoolSculpting Elite also features Dual Sculpting. It uses two applicators instead of one. This allows body contouring specialists to target two areas at the same time.

Combined, these features reduce treatment times substantially.

CoolSculpting Elite machines are also more precise and quieter. The enhanced cryotherapy technology minimizes discomfort by freezing targeted areas faster.

The result? Quicker, more relaxing treatments and enhanced results that are visible in a shorter space of time.
